Proper Cell Phone Etiquette

Being a good citizen is always cool and knowing that "no one" and I repeat "No one" else wants to hear one side of a cell phone conversation.

So are you one of those people that likes to use the phone when commuting on a train or a bus. If so this page is for you. Yes I am talking to you!

Where and when not to use a cell phone

Knowing proper cell phone usage is very important, just like good manners it is a good idea to practice good cell phone etiquette.

 Some places your cell phone or cell phone ringer should be turned off is 

1. Hospitals  Last thing some sick relative that you are visiting needs to hear and it is suppose to be a quiet place so sick people can get rest.

2. Libraries  Same reason as above it is a quiet place and intended to be one.

3. Concert halls Trust me no one wants to listen to your cell phone ring after shelling out big money for a concert ticket.

4. Schools No if and buts about it they are banned from most schools. it is a place of learning not talking.

5. Funeral Homes what could be so important that your cell phone would be turned on for here is beyond me. only excuse is a doctor on call

6. Elevators Just rude enough said others don't want to hear your business.  

7. Public Transportation No one on a bus or train wants to hear your conversation and it is rude to others around you. 

8. Airplane While waiting for others to board the plane or waiting to exit the plane don't have a conversation just for the sake of having a conversation. Other people that are on the plane don't want to hear you conversation. If you need to make pickup arrangements be quick with the call.

Now not all phones are the same for example Camera phones are being banned all over the place. 

Camera Phone Etiquette

Places never to use a camera phone 

1. Gyms No if and or buts about this one! there is no reason at all to be taking pictures in a gym not even of yourself. most health clubs are asking you to hand in camera cell phone's when you arrive.

2. Hospital's  Once again there is no reason to take pictures in a place full of sick people. (and no you shouldn't take pictures of the pretty nurses either) 

3. Any place where people are vulnerable This pretty much explains itself.
