Cell Phone Store

What To Look Out For In A Cell Phone Store

When you walk into a cell phone store you can be taken back by all the cell phones in the store. Don't worry it happened to me the first time too. It becomes very easy to not know what you are doing after you walk in. Plus on top of all of this the guy or woman at the counter is trying to sell you something you don't need.

It makes no sense in spending money on things that you don't need. Actually if you walk into a cell phone store you will notice that there are more things like cell phone cases and rapid chargers hanging on the wall. It seems that these stores make more money off accessories then they do on selling phones. You will notice how these salesman and women will try to entice you into all the extras that you need or they think you need.

Cell Phone Salesmen Make Commissions

This should come to nobody's surprise, but as I looked at my bill did it occur to me that I had been had.  I didn't know that the salesman put a headset, extra batteries, car charger, and belt clip on my order. Since I didn't know these were not included I was to say the least a bit pissed off. The belt clip was $15 and the headset was a hefty $24.99. I don't remember what the other stuff was exactly.

You might be saying how didn't I know I was paying for these things. Well after paying all the taxes and an activation fee I was confused as to what the price was in the first place. Since I charged this to my credit card I really didn't pay attention to what I was getting at the time, I know now that this was my big mistake.

The salesman even gave me his card and told me if I ever needed anything else to be sure to give him a call. The next day I called him and told him off. I brought the cell phone accessories back and demanded my money.

I also asked to see the manager and told him what had happened. He looked at me and really didn't care but I got my money back. How much the salesman lost in commissions I have no idea or do I care but you can be sure he made it up on the next guy.

It was for this reason that I started this site so people don't get taken from like I was. Now I research cell phones on the internet before I buy one. I still go to the store to hold the cell phone in my hand then come home and order one online. I also do reviews of cell phones so I can relay the best information to you before you spend money.
