PDA Compare

PDA or a Smartphone?

Finding the right Pda or personal digital assistants as we like to call them is a tricky decision. I know what you are thinking why is he talking about PDA's on a cell phone site? The answer to that actually comes from our user's. We have been getting a ton of email since the Handspring  came out with the Treo line that acts as both a PDA and a cell phone.

You have to find the right one to suite your needs. Some pda's have a built in camera, some have voice activated dialing, the choices are limitless. Only you can decide which one fits your lifestyle and use. Below are some models Feel free to browse through some and compare.

Personal Digital Assistant

PDA phones include either a Symbian, Pocket PC or a Palm Computer. They are usually more expensive and bulkier than regular phones but they offer a larger display and, generally, a wider collection of downloadable software. They are not as frequent as regular phones so selecting that option will reduce your final choice.

In today's world having a Wi-Fi enabled pda is almost essential unless you can get away with a cell phone that can access the internet. My favorite site to compare prices on PDA's is Hawkee.com

One of the hottest pda phones is the Handspring Treo from Palm One. The Treo 650 has been the phone of choice. They have just come out with the new Treo 700w with service from Verizon. You may want to look into it if you already use Verizon service. I use a Palm Treo 650 to make edits to this website using the documents to go program. It has built in Word and Excel programs.  One thing I had to get was an extra battery I use BatteryShip.com whenever I need a battery for either my phone or my IPod.

Wireless Internet access (Wi-Fi) is popping up everywhere. Once used primarily by business travelers to access email in airports, wireless service can now be found in Wi-Fi enabled areas called "hot spots." Hot spots can be found in independent coffeehouses, hotels, airline VIP lounges, city parks, college campuses and at selected Starbucks and McDonald's, and Free hot spots not surprisingly are highly coveted.
