Cell Phone Games

Cool Games Can Make Your Cell Phone Cool

There are so many new games coming around for the cell phone you almost have to be careful not to spend too much of your time playing games. One my phone I have a bunch of 1980's classic games like space invaders and frogger and such. They come in handy when you have a long train ride to and from work.

With my Verizon service they have a a service called "GetGames" that allows you to download games on a monthly subscriber basis or a one time fee for the game to be unlimited. What I would recommend is trying the game out for the one time fee and if you like the game pay for the unlimited version. This is how I play Texas holdem on my cell phone on my long subway trips into Manhattan. They have plenty of other games too that cover a wide selection of subjects.

As of this writing they have

  • Suzuki Motocross
  • Checkers
  • Blackjack
  • Chess
  • Space Invaders
  • Billiards
  • SpongeBob SquarePants Bowling
  • NY Time Trivia
  • Wheel of Fortune
  • Pro Golf
  • Ms Pac-man
  • John Madden Football

As you can see Verizon offers a wide selection on almost every topic or type of game you can imagine. The best part is once you lose at Texas Hold 'Em you can restart the game and you still have your real money in your pocket.

Even if you don't have Verizon for you cell phone carrier check with your cell phone company as they probably have a similar amount of games. Keep in mind that some 3rd parties also make games that are compatible with your particular cell phone. Sometimes they are even cheaper than your wireless carrier's plans. I only use Verizon games on my cell phone but that's just me.
